As a therapist, Alison says - ‘I have been working with massage for over fifteen years and have been fortunate enough to perfect my skills whilst working alongside Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, General Practitioners and Chiropractors in Asia, Spain and now in the UK.
I specialise in Sports & Remedial Massage, Reflexology and general stress therapies. I work with a professional approach and will treat each person individually, according to their specific requirements. I also work with a holistic view - always looking for the root cause of the pain or dysfunction, rather than just treating the symptoms alone.
We welcome Alison to the School of Natural Therapies as a valuable member of the team of teaching staff and already, she has received wonderful feedback from the students of the current Level 5 BTEC course.

After qualifying in a vast range of different disciplines Amy was invited to teach Holistic Therapies at City College in Brighton. Here she found she could inject the enthusiasm and belief she has found for all her chosen holistic therapies into sharing her knowledge and passion with others. Amy has a successful company Purple Turtle Therapy which she set up in 2003 and now has two busy therapy rooms in Hove, East Sussex. Amy developed CPD courses for therapists at the Purple Turtle Therapy Academy and is keen to raise and maintain the standards for our industry. Amy has recently experienced the amazing journey into motherhood and has two gorgeous children which keep her busy! Having two very different pregnancy experiences has led her to specialise in Pregnancy Massage and Baby/Infant Massage.
Amy’s philosophy is that when you take a step on the path of holistic therapies it is a journey that never ends and she constantly updates her skills and industry knowledge to enable her to teach the all the subjects that she loves to the highest standard.

Attending many additional courses to develop his knowledge and skills including: Hands-free massage with Sarah Shears, Kinesiology – Touch for Health with Marcia Fletcher, Stress management through Aromatherapy and Muscular Aches & Pains and Remedial massage for the Back with Nicola Jenkins as well as a number of CPD workshops with Mel Cash. Trevor's study of anatomy and practical biomechanics goes back over 25 years and is the culmination of half a lifetime's interest. As a practicing martial artist he became interested in performance, endurance, injury and recovery.
Trevor is also the co-founder and creative director of corporate communications consultancy Gorard Dean, started with his co-director in 1987. Together they have built up a client base of blue chip companies. His responsibilities include creating brand strategies, overseeing design teams and controlling the creative output of the company.
Trevor's Qualifications:
My name is Marc Innes and I am the owner and Principal of the School of Natural Therapies. I must begin by saying that I feel honoured and excited to be the proud new owner of a school that has had an excellent reputation for the past 21 years! The Previous owner, Ina Jensen, worked hard to give the school the prestige it has today and it is my intention to carry on that work with a marvellous team of experienced and professional tutors at my side.
I began my career in the NHS, working in a number of managerial and training roles within the Ambulance Service in London – I spent much of that time educating and coaching medical staff. Over time I developed an interest in all things complementary to Allopathic Medicine, in particular, Reiki Healing, which along with EFT, culminated in me running a successful teaching and ‘energy healing’ practice in Brighton. Having spent many years in the medical profession, I have an extensive knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology and I have been invited on several occasions to coach medical staff & Drs in resuscitation and emergency care procedures; this sound medical knowledge has also served me well in the massage and complementary therapy industry.
I have studied and taught many forms of massage over the years, including Holistic, Sports & Deep Tissue and Aromatherapy. For the past four years I have written manuals, taught Post Grad, Advanced and CPD courses to the massage industry and filmed instructional DVD's .It is fascinating to combine what I have learnt over the years in the allopathic medical world, with massage and complementary health and I firmly believe that all disciplines can be ‘complementary’ with one another to help bring about ‘well-being’ and vitality for everyone who seek this kind of treatment. Whether you wish to qualify in our ITEC Holistic Massage Diploma course, study Sports Massage or Aromatherapy, Beauty therapy, or gain advanced or CPD training, I look forward to welcoming you to one of our popular courses.
