2025: A Year of Growth, Excellence, and New Beginnings

A year in review 2025

As we close out 2025, we look back on a monumental year for The School of Natural Therapies (SNT). Celebrating 36 years of excellence in holistic education, this year was defined by physical expansion, digital transformation, and a deepened commitment to setting international standards for the massage industry.

A New Home and a New Look

This year, we turned the page to an exciting new chapter by moving our headquarters to a vibrant new location in Battersea. Our new home at the Battersea Business Centre on Lavender Hill provides more spacious and dedicated teaching environments, ideally placed for students across London.

To match our modern physical space, we also continued to develop our redesigned website with countless new features. The new site offers improved navigation and accessibility, ensuring prospective students can easily discover our range of accredited, government-regulated courses

Bridging the Skills Gap: The Launch of the Spa School

One of our biggest milestones this year was the expansion into the spa therapy world with the launch of our brand-new Spa School. Recognising a systemic “skills gap” where traditional beauty training often overlooks massage depth, we developed the ITEC Level 3 Spa Therapy Diploma.

Launched in September 2025, this course prioritises “massage first,” focusing on therapist biomechanics and injury prevention to ensure long-term career sustainability. We are proud to bring our clinical expertise to the luxury wellness sector, helping career changers and spa teams alike.

Celebrating Student and Alumni Success

Our students continue to reach incredible heights:

  • Academic Excellence: Our recent exam cohorts saw phenomenal results, particularly in the Diploma in Massage, where an incredible 75% of the class achieved Distinctions.
  • Career Transformations: We celebrated the story of graduate Robin Williams, who transitioned from a 37-year legal career to working as a soft tissue therapist in Premier League football.
  • Clinical Impact: Through our partnership with Full Circle Fund Therapies, SNT alumni are making a measurable difference in NHS hospitals, providing compassionate care in complex environments like paediatric medicine and neuro intensive care.

Leading the Industry on the World Stage

2025 saw our leadership team actively shaping the profession:

  • International Judging: Our Principal, Marc Innes, was honoured to judge at the 5th annual European Massage Championship in Paris. Alongside Joseph O’Dwyer, he also judged at the National Massage Championships in London, championing the restorative power of human touch over tools.
  • Industry Advocacy: As members of the UK Spa Association (UKSA), we delivered influential talks at the Summer Networking Event at Center Parcs and at ExCeL London. We addressed critical issues like therapist burnout, musculoskeletal injury, and the importance of oncology massage inclusivity.

New Frontiers and Specialist Training

We continued to innovate our curriculum and reach:

  • Myofascial Release (MFR): We introduced a highly successful MFR course incorporating Vagus Nerve techniques, which saw such high demand that extra dates were added for November.
  • Peterborough Expansion: Due to popular demand from therapists in the north, we expanded our specialist training—including Oncology and Pregnancy Massage—to a new venue in Peterborough.
  • Luxury Partnerships: We continued our work with London’s most prestigious establishments, delivering bespoke training for Aman Spa at The Connaught and Brown’s Hotel. We were also thrilled to see our trained partners at Masaj featured in Conde Nast Traveller.

You can think of the School of Natural Therapies in 2025 as a bridge. On one side is the world of luxury and relaxation, and on the other is rigorous clinical expertise. Throughout 2025, we have strengthened that bridge, ensuring that every therapist who crosses it carries the heavy weight of scientific knowledge with the light, compassionate touch of a true healer.

Whether through our work in the NHS, luxury spas, or our new Battersea classroom, 2025 has been a year of empowering therapists with the confidence and clinical skill to change lives.
