Diploma in Lymphatic Drainage & Myofascial Integration

Learn advanced lymphatic drainage and myofascial techniques to support fluid balance and tissue health. This 2-day accredited diploma provides accredited CPD training.

Course Overview

This 2-day Lymphatic course provides comprehensive and science-based knowledge and techniques, designed to reduce oedema, support lymphatic flow, and restore fluid balance within the body.

It is an approach that we feel is highly effective and with the volunteers who have received treatment with this approach (together with their very positive feedback we have received days and weeks, post-treatment) we are very happy to share this effective approach to Lymphatic Drainage.

A key component of this approach is understanding the relationship between the fascial and lymphatic systems and how they work together to support lymphatic circulation, immune function, detoxification, tissue hydration and healthy fluid balance.

The overarching principle is that when lymphatic flow becomes sluggish or restricted, it can contribute to swelling, stiffness, discomfort, fatigue, and reduced mobility.

Together we will explore fascial health dysfunction that can contribute to fluid stagnation and tissue congestion – we achieve this through a combination of theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practical application – and of course feedback throughout the 2-day course.

The techniques taught are naturally lymphatic drainage, but also with movement, nervous system regulation through breathing and vagal tone exercises; all of which support lymphatic and myofascial health.

Entry Requirements

To ensure the safe and effective delivery of Lymphatic Drainage and Myofascial techniques, applicants are required to hold a UK-recognised Level 3 Massage qualification (or higher) as a minimum prerequisite for attendance. Equivalent qualifications in bodywork-based professions, including physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic, are also accepted, as hands-on soft tissue assessment and treatment form an established part of their core training and clinical practice.

All qualifications must be awarded by a regulated organisation or a university; examples are ITEC/VTCT, City & Guilds, OCN, BTEC – please not that this is not an exhaustive list.

No other qualifications will be accepted. Please see FAQs below for reasons behind this stipulation.

Course Structure

This workshop provides a solid foundation in Lymphatic Drainage and myofascial techniques, whether for personal development, professional practice, movement therapy, or client treatments, by the end of the course, participants will have a clear understanding of how fascia and the lymphatic system influence mobility, tissue health, recovery, and overall fluid balance within the body.

Participants will leave with practical tools and treatment approaches that can be integrated into bodywork, rehabilitation, recovery sessions, movement practices, or self-care routines, making this a valuable addition to any therapist’s professional skill set.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the role of fascia and the lymphatic system in movement, recovery, and overall wellbeing
  • Learn how to apply a variety of myofascial release and lymphatic-focused techniques confidently with hands-on guided practice
  • Develop a greater understanding of tissue hydration, circulation, inflammation, and fascial mobility
  • Learn techniques to support relaxation, recovery, and nervous system regulation
  • Gain practical experience and receive feedback from an experienced instructor

FAQs

Lymphatic Drainage and myofascial work is a highly tactile, hands-on therapy that requires practitioners to have prior experience working directly with a wide variety of body types, tissue presentations and client needs. Participants must already possess confidence in professional touch, body mechanics, palpation skills and the practical application of manual therapy techniques. Whilst we fully recognise and respect the high level of education, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and clinical expertise held by acupuncturists, reflexologists, craniosacral therapists and other complementary therapy practitioners, these disciplines do not generally include the same level of soft tissue massage training or extensive hands-on bodywork experience required for this course. As such, these qualifications alone do not currently meet the entry requirements. These prerequisites are in place to maintain educational standards, support student success and ensure that all participants are able to safely and confidently integrate the techniques taught within the course. We hope this clarifies the rationale behind our entry requirements and helps avoid any misunderstanding for future applicants.
