The School of Natural Therapies is proud to celebrate its ongoing partnership with Full Circle Fund Therapies, an award-winning hospital-based charity that provides integrative massage and complementary therapies for patients and staff across major NHS hospitals.

Founded by Suzanne Ruggles-Redhead BEM MSc (Health Science) MFHT, Full Circle Fund Therapies has been at the forefront of improving patient quality of life for over 25 years. Its pioneering work at St George’s University Hospital, Tooting, one of Europe’s largest hospitals, is a shining example of compassionate healthcare collaboration.

From the classroom to the clinic: The School of Natural Therapies’ alumni making a difference

Many of the Full Circle Fund Therapies’ hospital-based massage practitioners are graduates of our advanced training programmes, particularly the BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Sports & Remedial Massage and Advanced Deep Tissue Massage CPD Course.

These practitioners work in some of the NHS’s most complex environments, including paediatric medicine, cancer and haematology wards, intensive care, and neuro units, as well as NHS England–funded programmes supporting patients living with chronic and genetic pain conditions such as Sickle Cell Disorder.

A response born from the pandemic and continuing today

This collaboration began in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, when our Principal and former NHS paramedic Marc Innes responded to an urgent call from Full Circle to support exhausted frontline NHS staff.

“Our alumni stepped forward without hesitation,” says Marc. “Many had trained in our Oncology Massage & Cancer Care Diploma and were already equipped with the clinical understanding needed to work in hospital settings. Their dedication helped staff and patients alike during one of the NHS’s most testing times.”

Following that initial wave of volunteer support, Full Circle Fund Therapies secured charitable funding to retain several of our alumni as part of its award-winning Integrative Therapies Team, where they continue to provide evidence-based massage care to patients with major, life-changing conditions.
