I just wanted to start off by saying the course was amazing. I came knowing so little and I left knowing bucket loads of knowledge. Helen is such a great tutor and helped all of us so much through the course. The knowledge was in-depth but really simple to understand and I will forever thank Helen for that. Suzzane was also a great tutor, providing support from the start to the end and she helped all of us so much and managed to maintain a calm aura in the room with all of the tension for exams. I want to thank both of these euphoric teachers for the incredible journey and for those who are wondering if they want to do this course, 100% go for it; it’ll change your life.

Review about a Course (Advanced and Deep Tissue Massage)

After completing my level 3 diploma which was brilliant, I did the advanced and deep tissue course with Joseph and can’t recommend it enough! The two day course offers you so much to learn and a chance to develop your skills from Joseph’s knowledge and years of experience. It offers the tools, advice and support to advance your techniques to help structure your treatments to your individual clients needs. Joseph creates a great atmosphere and balance of professional learning and lots of laughs! I will definitely be coming back to do more courses and eventually my level 3 sports massage, thankyou!

Review about a Course (Cupping Therapy)

Absolutely loved the Cupping Therapy course taught by Greg Farmer.
Greg was fantastic. After a bit of background and theory, we were straight into using the cups on each other which was great. This course was a real ‘hands on’ approach and for me, this is what I prefer.
Greg made the course fun, but informative. I’ve since had lots of bookings and interest and feel confident in treating my clients.

Trevor is a standout instructor for his expertise, insight, patience, and flexibility. His teaching style is engaging and always keeps the class motivated. I have truly enjoyed the First Aid course as Marc made the procedures easy to follow and we practised surveying the scene and prioritising treatment & CPR. The course gave me confidence to be a rescuer.

Review about a Course (Level 5 Workshop Refresh, Revise, Develop)

Recently completed the refresher L5 sports massage course. It was extremely helpful and I was able to gain more in depth understanding of myofascial release, trigger points, MET,STR with Josephs understanding and experience I was able to leave the course full of knowledge and feeling more confident for my exam. I highly recommend for anyone that needs a ‘refresh’ or any Level 5 therapist willing to further their knowledge!

Review about a Course (Advanced and Deep Tissue Massage)

I can’t recommend this course enough. The two days are absolutely packed with valuable techniques that can be applied straightaway, and also topics to take away and explore further. But more than that, a critcal approach to treating clients is taught, which will stand any therapist in good stead regardless of skill or experience level. Not only are some unusual relationships discussed for client issues, but there’s a strong focus on body mechanics and protecting the therapist. Joseph is generous with his knowledge, clear in his instruction and also skilled at capturing and addressing the nuanced complexities that come with treating client’s issues. I was able to use some of the techniques the following day for my regulars with immediate results. We were given a valuable manual and practice the techniques we learnt. Be prepared to take lots of notes and continue practicing outside the lessons.

The level5 sports massage revision workshop was a great opportunity to refresh my knowledge and add extra understanding on subjects like trigger points, relationship between the fasciae and muscle dysfunction, and more. It’s like reading a book for the second time; you will always learn things you missed the first time. As always, Joseph made it so interesting with his in-depth knowledge, always ready to help and answer questions.

Review about a Course (Oncology Masterclass)

I attended this course in July, delivered by Christine and Marc. It was hugely valuable – we were given lots of information and context about how cancer originates and spreads, the physical and emotional after effects of cancer and how massage can help (some helpful myth-busting around massage and cancer was also discussed!). We also had the great privilege of working directly with clients who had been through cancer treatments and were able to adapt our treatments to each client and directly employ our skills in situ. This was hugely valuable to really get grips with how to apply our skills and just how varied the disease is in terms of the needs of each client. I believe every therapist should have these skills and be able to provide safe treatments for those affected by cancer.

I have just completed the ITEC Diploma in Reflexology at the School of Natural Therapies. I did A and P for the second time with Helen, having previously done it in 2013, and it was just as great the second time as the first time. I had always thought about doing A and P again, as I felt rusty after 8 years and it was great to refresh my knowledge and learn new things. Helen’s teaching style certainly helps you to remember things and learning about A and P is really fun and enjoyable at the same time.
The reflexology with Rosie was enjoyable, at times challenging and hard work, as there is a lot to learn and case studies to do, but I am glad to have done the course. As a complementary therapist practising aromatherapy, it is a great additional therapy to now be able to offer.
Doing the Business Units with Melanie and Trevor was also really helpful and useful, especially doing the Business Plan, as this part of the Diploma has really helped me to focus on getting my business off the ground.
Thank you to all the teachers at the school for their support and guidance over the year. It has been an enjoyable course.

A throughly enjoyable and resourceful experience at the School of Natural Therapies. Sports massage level 3 course was delivered in a highly-skilled, dedicated and professional manner. With individual approach and support tailored to each student, the tutors exceeded all expectations. I can highly recommend to all beginners and practicing in the field. I attended the Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology course to gain a more in depth knowledge about the subjects as I am starting a nursing degree in September. The course has served its purpose very well. It was very informative and delivered in a way that was engaging. My teacher Helen is brilliant, she made the classes enjoyable and explained the course material very clearly, her enthusiasm and passion for the subject is what made the course so amazing!
