It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they have a correct and valid visa to study in the UK and to maintain their immigration status throughout the duration of their studies here

Your deposit constitutes a purchase contract between yourself and SNT and, as such, you are liable to pay the whole course fee. If a student decides to leave the course early, for any reason (including medical reasons), and not continue with their studies, the full course fee is payable at the time of notification. Course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable from one course to another. The school reserves the right to pursue any non-payment legally.

CPD Workshops

For all one day and weekend CPD courses the school requires a deposit to be paid through our website or over the phone. The remaining course fee is payable 3 weeks before the commencement of the course.

COVID-19 19 Restrictions

All courses are subject to the above whilst the Covid19 exists. Where symptoms of Covid19 exist before the relevant course date(s) or on the day of the course, students will be encouraged to cancel the planned course dates, and will be excused from the course to avoid transmission risks and to comply with Government Legislation.

Please contact us as soon as possible by email or telephone to notify the school if you become or suspect you have become symptomatic.

Course fees will be transferred to the next available course date and students should liaise with us to discuss alternative dates.

Please note that course fee refunds will not be given, other than the statutory cancellation regulations under Customer Contracts Regulations. This states that course deposits all deposits are non-refundable or transferable unless within 14 calendar days of booking.

Cancellations

  • All deposits are covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations and are subject to a 14-calendar day cooling off period, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable. Following this the student is then liable for the balance of the course fee. Whether this is by single payment or our easy pay instalment programme, even in the event of the student failing to complete the course through illness or non-attendance.
  • All course fees are non-refundable unless we are obliged to cancel a training course – this would be in response to low enrolment numbers. In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel a course for this reason, we reserve the right to contact you 7-14 days prior to the course starting and advise you of such.
  • Courses run subject to minimum enrolments. We will keep courses open for as long as is possible to enable students to book. We endeavour to give the course as good a prospect of recruiting as we possibly can. However, if it becomes apparent that course enrolments are too low, we will offer alternative course dates, or if unsuitable, reimburse your deposit.
  • For  1 or 2 day workshops – once the deposit has been paid and then a student cancels more than 4 weeks in advance of the start date, then a Cancellation Fee of £25 will be charged and also 50% of the course fee will become payable immediately.

Covid19 – Special Arrangements

From September 5th, 2020, the school resumes theory and practical classroom training – this will be conducted in line with current government educational guidelines and scientific advice and we have conducted a number of risk assessments in order to ensure these steps.

All tutors at the School of Natural Therapies have been trained in Covid19 awareness and safe teaching practices, to ensure that each student is made to feel safe.

Just some of the steps we have taken are: –

  • Full risk assessment of teaching premises.
  • Provision of hand sanitising stations.
  • Working in smaller groups of two, in order to minimise contact within the class setting.
  • Maintenance of social distancing in both practical and theory lessons.
  • Track and Trace arrangements.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to take note of the above and to follow all current government Covid guidelines, which will be regularly highlighted by the school throughout your period of study with us. This is to ensure your own safety and that of fellow students and teaching staff, in order to minimise as much as possible, any potential transmission risks, during close contact classroom sessions. The school will provide as much guidance as possible by various means, in response to any possible government guideline updates/changes and students must be aware that not only are they responsible for adhering to the above guidance, but enter the training environment at their own risk throughout the duration of their chosen course and subsequent exams sessions.

In the event that government guidelines change either immediately before, or during the course period, due to localised or UK- wide ‘lockdown’, the school will contact each student and advise them that our course back-up plan will be instigated immediately.

What would happen next?

At this stage our back-up teaching plan would be as follows: –

  • All theory lessons will be delivered, live, using the zoom platform. Students will be given a zoom link, which can be accessed from PC, laptop, and mobile devices.
  • A timetable of zoom sessions will be supplied – in the main they will follow the advertised course dates but will be delivered in shorter ‘bite-sized’ sessions. This means that in addition to advertised course dates, some additional dates will be added for theoretical study.
  • Students unable to attend any additional dates may access any missed sessions, which are recorded.
  • Any practical training will be delayed until the school is given government permission and guidelines released for re-opening.
  • Practical training dates would therefore change, and additional dates added in order to complete the practical element of the course.
  • The exam date may also be delayed for the above reasons.
  • The school will keep in close contact with all students throughout any ‘lockdown’ scenarios – local or UK wide.
  • Students should therefore be aware that any unforeseen changes, as detailed above, will be in response to unforeseen circumstances and government mandate and law and will fall outside of the control of the school. We will however endeavour to deliver the course in its entirety, using this back-up plan and all students should be aware that our priority will be to conclude the course, examination process and certification.
  • In the event that the course timetable changes, for the reasons listed above, students agree to adhere to any extended timetables and course fees are non-refundable.
  • Students will be given the option to take advantage of the above option – alternatively, due to these unforeseen circumstances, the school will agree to transfer the training to the next available course dates.
